This workshop offered a variety of tools and creative processes to enhance visual thinking skills. Across several individual and collaborative exercises, the participants were encouraged to work quickly to generate multiple ideas, explore visual associations and develop many alternative solutions.
Exercise 1. Meaning Making – Using collage to create new forms and meanings. Observing and documenting how meaning changes with each addition
Exercise 2. Cause and Effect Visual Mind Map – Developing multiple story chains from a singular starting point
Exercise 3. Surrealist Games – Collaborative processes for random image generation and chance association
Exercise 4. Repetitive Reiterations – Deconstructing/ reconstructing an object’s form through multiple drawings
